14  To aide the efforts of those searching for a particular family member, we've started putting together an Index of Names page.  This page will probably take a bit to get fully up-to-date.  Its the Christmas season after all and the webmaster still has some shopping to do for the Missus.

Brennan, Jr.'s tribute to Anna Maria Benesch Herrold - "Mother of all Snyder County Herrolds."  Updated the F.A.Q.'s page.

10  Started a Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.'s) page today.  Comments and suggestions are always appreciated.

9  Ok.  Yesterday's search engine was another disaster.  Luckily, I stumbled across a free search engine offered by Google, and its now loaded onto the Search Our Site page.  As I understand it, only pages already indexed by Google will return results, so pages that are very recent may take a while before they get returned by a Google site search.  So, we'll leave this search engine in place for a week or so and see how it develops.

8  Back by popular demand.  The Search Our Site page is back.  A word of caution to our visitors.  This search page is a bit limited in functionality and doesn't always return the results you hope it will.  For instance if you search for "John George Herrold", this will return all pages where any of the words "John" "George" or "Herrold" appears.  What the heck!  Its a start and its better than nothing while we search for a better method of searching the site.  Cheers!  Updated the Surnames page.  Picture Index updated.  Added a Documents page.  Reunion Programs added for 2002, 2003 & 2005.

Started Giving Numbers to the names being listed on this website.  That's right!  Each person is getting their own number to help me keep things straight.  The ancestors that I've already listed for John George Herrold, Sr. (N15) get the primo starting numbers (N1 through N14).  In case you haven't guessed it, "N" stands for number.  As I get around to editing things, you'll see these "N" identifiers popping up all over the site.  Hope it doesn't get too confusing.  By the way, there's really no method of preference in the order that numbers will be assigned.  Every time a new name gets added to the site, it will be assigned a number.  In the beginning, I expect there will be some perceived order, but after a bit it could get a little chaotic.  My apologies for any confusion this might cause.

Started listing out the multitudes of Descendants for John George Herrold, Sr. today.  For purposes of the page, John George Herrold, Sr. (N15) is generation number 1.  His children are generation number 2; their children generation number 3; etc.; etc.  Unknown first and last names will get identified with the symbol "UN".  Spouses of a Herrold descendant will be identified by a "+" symbol. 

Started pages for the BENESCH FAMILY, the WINKELBLECH FAMILY, the CARVELL FAMILY, the FISHER FAMILY, and the ANDERSON FAMILY.  What this means is that when I have ancestral information for a spouse of a Herrold descendant, I'll do my best to start a page for that family's information.  Hope that won't be too confusing.
